The Sussex PGR Workshop in Economics is an internal one-day event organised by PhD researchers, with support from the Department of Economics. This is its first edition.
Its aim is to strengthen the research community and research environment in the department. The workshop gives visibility to the research done by PGRs at Sussex, and creates a space to present work in progress, receive constructive feedback from peers and faculty, and learn what colleagues are working on.
We welcome work from all fields of economics, including applied and theoretical micro, macroeconomics, development, labour, education, health, environmental and public economics, econometrics and economic history. Researchers at all stages of the PhD are encouraged to participate. Papers do not need to be publication-ready: a sufficiently developed research question, an empirical or theoretical approach and preliminary results are enough to benefit from discussion.
